A tanker truck, sometimes referred to as a tank truck or road tanker, is a motor vehicle that is designed and built for carrying gases or liquefied loads on roads. Tanker trucks are made of various materials depending on what kind of products they are carrying. Generally their tanks are made by carbon steel. Other materials include fiberglass reinforced plastic and aluminium. According to their size or volume, tanker trucks can be divided into large tanker truckers and small tanker truckers. Large tank trucks are commonly used for refueling vehicles, farm machinery, boilers, construction machinery, as well as for transporting fuel to places such as hotels. In addition, these trucks can also be used to transport gasoline to service stations. Small tank trucks are primarily used to deliver light liquid cargo within a community.
